We went with the oak finish, which is just painted rather than actual wood, but we thought it looks pretty good in our home.When it arrived, I was worried that it was going to be junk considering the smaller size of the package. Much to our surprise it was well made, and really easy to assemble and install. The extended length of the cord was perfect for us, and the fact that it plugged directly in and didn’t have to be wired was a bonus. Its switch was placed well at the end of the cord, but we would have loved if it had a dimmer. At the price I wouldn’t necessarily expect it, but it would have been ideal.It did include a hook and some drywall anchors for installation, but the instructions were pretty poor and really could have been improved. Overall we would recommend this with a few caveats. Side note: we switched out to an Edison bulb later and it looked even better.
