I order two of these assemblies and I can’t believe how nice they are. They don’t require plumbers putty because they have such wonderful seals. I would purchase again.As an update On the product and the seller. You should not ever use putting when installing. The reaction of the putting and the ABS kitchen sink drain, made the drain crack within less than 24 hours. I reached out fir the seller and they are replacing it for free. The seller is insisting on reading and following direction on how to install.Once I receive the new piece , my plumber will install it following the direction without any modificationThank youI love itLooks great - for the price- :)I bought this product because my water has a tendency to rust and corrode metal drain baskets and I thought this plastic device might last longer. Installation is relatively straightforward except for one issue: the inside dimension of the drain connector (Part 7, the large nut that tightens the drain body against the drain line) is too big for the outside dimension of the threads on the drain body (Part 6), so the drain connector nut slips and can't be fully tightened. (I bought two of these, and they both have the same issue, so it's not a one-off problem.) Fortunately, the threads on the drain body are standard and I was able to re-use the nuts from my old strainer assemblies. But if installing on a new sink, this thing won't work. I'm giving it two stars because the standard threads at least allowed me to complete the installation with old parts. If I didn't have the old parts, this would be a one-star review.Also, I used (and would recommend) plumber's putty under the drain body rim rather than the included white foam gasket. The gasket is quite thick and I didn't want a large gap under the rim where water and rotting food could collect. Plus, a dry fit suggested the gasket would keep the drain body rim too high to allow the sink to drain completely.After doing quite a lot of research, I selected this sink drain assembly for my two new sinks, one is for my black quartz composite sink and one is for my white farmhouse ceramic sink. Many reviews of similar types that were metal construction with a coating easily chipped so I settled on these units which are plastic construction with a solid brass threaded nut and I'm very glad with my purchase. They match my black quartz sink and white ceramic sink perfectly. They're upscale decor for my sinks and not have any quality problem. Besides, they are easy to install. These definitely exceeded my expectations at the price I paid.
