I've only started really testing/using the inverter, but have been pleased so far. Current application is a portable battery power unit, meant to run heavy short duration loads where power is not available and smaller battery powered devices are not enough to manage. Its powered off of a 24V 40Ah (150a continuous) battery pack - so while the inverter is capable of running large loads, the pack depletes before it could really be pushed for long hours. Its able to handle a toaster oven for ~30 min of cycling and a 1500 watt water kettle for 15 minutes of continuous heating (separately) without any issues.Given how its worked so far, I would comfortably plug any item that would normally go on a 110V 15A house circuit to this for general use. The fans do run constantly at a low setting when the unit is powered on, and I have only had them go into a loud turbo mode once with the kettle. That said, the unit remained relatively cool to the touch with no noticeable hotspots forming and went back to a quite mode after about 1 minute of no load.Tracking loads at the battery and device, I have seen anywhere between 85% and 93% efficiency. It does put out 120V on a full charge pack, but has dipped to ~110V during heavy draw applications (1500 watts). Idle draw is ~0.6-0.9A on the battery.I don't have the equipment to test how 'pure' of a sine wave is formed, however I did run the microwave off of it and noticed that the unit was a touch quieter while cooking (pulled 1500watts/12.75A at plug and 60A/27.5v at battery) . While not very scientific, the fact that it ran well points to something being right. Still expect inefficiency and do your own testing if before trusting any sensitive equipment to any inverter, this one included.The one thing I now wish it had was a remote on/off switch - but that's not anything against the unit, just something to consider if you are stowing it away somewhere. Cables are also not exactly the definition of high quality, but do the job nicely and have not gotten hot. If you are doing large loads for long periods, wires would be the first place I would be watching for heat and replace - after that just be careful of what is around the exhaust/intake ports so that you don't get anything too hot from it running.Great little unit for the price!2000W/4000W 24V system
